Grand Turk’s main attraction is obviously the SCUBA diving, and at Bohio we’ll make sure you see the best of it. We have our own dive operation, catering solely for our guests, and our very own beach was voted the world’s best diving beach by Men’s Journal magazine. We offer boat excursions to local snorkeling sites, whale watching over the winter season, free diving for conch, stingray encounters and trips to other islands and cays. We can arrange 4x4 safaris, Jeep safaris and “Ride n’ Swim” horse riding with Chukka Tours. Try deep sea fishing for tuna or mahi-mahi with our experienced local fishing gurus – then see what our chef makes of your catch on our evening specials board. Visit nearby Cockburn town, the salinas left from the salt-raking industry, the mangroves or the old lighthouse. Look out for flamingos in the salt ponds, ospreys nesting in the old windmills, hummingbirds and iguanas as well as whales, dolphins and other marine life in the protected marine park. Practice hatha yoga by our poolside, in the early morning or at sunset, ending under a canopy of stars, with the gentle sound of waves providing the soundtrack. Our yoga teachers offer classes for a range of abilities, from gentle to advanced, taking students mindfully through the basic asanas (postures) to different levels using breath work (pranayama) and focus to explore the benefits of personal yoga practice. Group classes or private tuition available. Mats are also available. |
