Ever wanted to discover a Robinson Crusoe-styled island for an afternoon of adventure, fun, and exploration? Let us take you to Gibbs Cay, an uninhabited sandy oasis lying just off of Grand Turk’s southeast tip— and the perfect spot for wading, swimming, snorkelling, and photography.
After loading the boat with snorkelling gear (and your favorite beverages), we’ll cruise along Grand Turk’s sandy coastline where you’ll enjoy only the best in waterside views of this beautiful Caribbean island.
During the journey you’ll be able to join local dive masters free-diving for conch. Later, they’ll show you how to extract it from its shell to transform it into delectable and mouth-watering conch ceviche. For the more adventurous amongst you, you’ll also be able to try “Conch Worm”… allegedly “Nature’s Viagra”.
Then it will be time for some close encounters with the lovely and curious Southern Stingrays, truly one of nature’s friendliest creatures. You’ll snorkel with them, playing in and sharing their warm shallow waters. Playing with these fascinating creatures is certainly considered a bucket-list item!
You’ll hike over to the other side of Gibbs Cay to take in some spectacular views across the azure blue Atlantic Ocean. Beachcombers will be able to explore the flotsam and jetsam that regularly washes up on the secluded beaches.
All in all, it’s something fun, relaxing, and quite memorable, all courtesy of Bohio Resort. And unlike Robinson Crusoe, you won’t be left behind!
