Groups of divers of all levels venture to Bohio Dive Resort on Grand Turk from around the world to experience the wonders of one of the most extensive coral reef systems worldwide (65 miles across and 200 miles long) — diving here is truly world class.
Our Grand Turk diving resort, the only one located on the bleach white sands of Pillory Beach, is situated only 1000 feet (300 meters) from the spectacular barrier reef that hugs the coast of Grand Turk, and as a result is no more than a five minute boat ride away. Grand Turk is surrounded by walls covered in sponges and corals starting at 25 feet (7 meters) and plunging to 7000 feet (1230 meters) straight down. Grand Turk offers a vast amount of different dive sites, each with its own unique topography. Some have gentle rolling hills, or arches and swim-throughs, and some dive sites have dramatic drop-offs which offer spectacular wall diving. There are dives to suit every level of diver and your experienced instructor will give you a full dive briefing before every dive, explaining what to look out for at that particular site, orientation and safety procedures.
Bohio Dive Resort is perfectly suited for group dives — we have 16 beachfront rooms, all offering panoramic west-facing views only steps away from the beach. So you and your friends have all the space and accessibility you need to sit back and enjoy each other’s company.
We pride ourselves on giving guests a dive holiday that doesn’t feel like boot camp. Our dive boat is on the shore, ready to go at will. You won’t find groups of 30 or 40 sandwiched together, here, we offer small intimate excursions. Our dive staff are friendly, courteous, and professional — not to mention great fun — so past guests return year after year to experience both the atmosphere of Bohio and Grand Turk’s incredible diving.
Dramatic dive walls, and majestic sea-life are only moments away — these include Alien Nation, Mama Nature, Coral Gardens, and The Anchor. Snorkelling is also possible, and Grand Turk’s world famous wall is perfect for viewing hundreds of fish species from above. Looking down the wall, plunging into the abyss below, is a sight never to be forgotten.
Snorkelling is also available and ideal for those who have not obtained their diving certification. The shallow waters surrounding Gibbs Cay, a short boat ride to the east of Grand Turk, are perfect for swimming amongst the vivid marine wildlife, including the rays.
After an adventurous day’s diving, guests can retire to our Guanahani Restaurant or our Ike & Donkey Beach Bar to recount tales of underwater exploration. Our very own house chef is always on hand to rustle up something delicious, so groups are well catered for regarding every aspect. Make sure to try the locally caught grilled fish, or the rack of lamb. And don’t forget to leave room for dessert. Delicious!
