Thanks for everybody’s good wishes and patience whilst we get things back to normal after this year’s unprecedented hurricane season.
Bohio is happy to report that we came through the storms with absolutely no injuries, and in reasonably good shape. The clean-up and repairs required are well underway it will soon be business as usual, with the idyllic setting and relaxing atmosphere that keep our guests coming back.
Hurricane season is part of the life-cycle down here in the Caribbean. This year we saw Hurricanes Irma and Maria pass through in quick succession, which has had damaging effects through the entire island community. But it is a close community that pulls together. And as we make our repairs, we also use the opportunity to improve our infrastructure and services. In this way we keep Bohio fresh, up to date and ready for guests who want to experience old-world charm in beautiful and comfortable surroundings.
We are waiting for electricity and internet to be restored reliably, but power company Fortis are on-island working hard, and we are assured we will be back online any day now. As soon as this happens, normal service can resume. Read more »
