There is nothing more magnificent or more majestic in the sea than whales. And we are so incredibly fortunate to find ourselves along the annual migration route for North Atlantic Humpbacks.
From the beginning of the year through to early/mid April, these beautiful creatures journey through the Turks and Caicos Islands on the way to their spawning grounds, gracing us with their incredible presence. On rare occasions, lucky divers and snorkelers off our shores even get a chance to swim with them.
It is not unusual to occasionally hear whale song while beneath the sea this time of year – however, we only recommend going for a close encounter with experienced guides as part of a tour.
Soon they will be gone for the year, but we’ll catch them again in 2018!
